We went last night for dinner and the place was severely understaffed. I'm in no way putting down the only server, she was amazing running back and forth waiting on tables, clearing tables, checking people out, and hosting by herself.… More She did an excellent job holding it down on her own and provided awesome service while clearly overworked. It's a shame she had to a deal with a full house by herself plus only one chef. Give them both raises. Hire more people! Tip your servers! Be kind!
What a pleasant surprise! I've been to a couple of places in Montreal, tried the best poutines and this is not far off being the best! Main was excellent (get the poutineville if you like beef), great appetizer (fried pickles); Ambiance… More and service unbeatable. Stumble upon this place and couldn't be happier. From a Torontonian to all fellow travellers.
Love having a Poutineville right downtown. Lots of space plus a small terrace outside. Poutines are good, their burgers also very good! It's too bad they don't offer crushed potatoes as an option. Service is great as well. Food… More always comes quickly, nice and hot! Edit: Crushed potatoes option is now available based on response! Time for a visit then! 😊
Food is extremely filling even with the regular size dish. Make sure to come on an empty stomach, or you will regret it. Other than that, the food is really good and has the perfect temperature, they offer board games for you to play, and… More the staff is friendly. The food takes an average time to get ready. The place takes a semi retro look, but there's no distinct smell or warmth to the place.
I came here one night on live comedy night. When I came in I was invited to join the table of comedians playing an improv game. It was welcoming as they are also an English friendly bar like Grumpy's (live music) just a couple doors… More down. Yes they have Xbox. I've heard that their food was VERY good. My friend recommends getting the hand mashed potatoes for one of the various options available for your choose-your-own style poutine. Next time I'm in Montreal I will for sure return and try some of their poutine on another comedy night!
so good I cried. vegetarians or “vegetarians”, you’ll love the Mexican. good portion sizes. I’m the type to go for a Large but a Regular did it for me. Super calm, cute, glowy, and slightly rustic atmosphere. I sat on the patio while my… More favorite songs played. A perfect night.
Glad to find this Poutineville in downtown, quick service and generous portions. This is definitely a great spot to grab a quick bite before heading to the hockey game. Will certainly be returning here.
